American Staffordshire Terrier - Maurice - Large - Adult - Male
My name is Maurice and I am a spectacular, but overlooked 5yo boy at the shelter. I had never known kindness or love before coming to this place but I have really come a long way. I am still afraid of all the barking dogs and commotion so I find great comfort in the yard, where the noise fades away and I can lay in the sun and roll in the grass. I will scamper about with my squeaky toys, engage you in a game of catch and fetch, take treats gently from your fingertips and may even surprise you with a soft kiss. You will be amazed at how gentle and well-behaved I am. I am also super easy to walk. I am sensitive, smart and very devoted to the people who know me. Though I have made a few canine friends, I am still insecure around some dogs and may do best in a quiet, household where I can receive all the love. No cats please. Children over 12 too.
